Tom Ziegler appointed as an Elder in Northern Virginia

On the 18th of October 2009, Tom Ziegler was ordained as an elder in the Northern Virginia Church of Christ. Tom and his wife Lori were members of the mission team that heroically planted the church in Nairobi 20 years ago, the Nairobi church now has a Sunday attendance of over 2000 people.

The Ziegler Family then moved to Johannesburg where they served the church for 10 years before returning home to Northern Virginia. The Zieglers left an indelible mark on the churches in Africa. We congratulate Tom & Lori and look forward to seeing them back in Africa one day soon.

Below is an extract of Tom's appointment as it appears on www.Disciplestoday.org :

"Tom Ziegler became a Christian in Northern Virginia in the 1980s along with his wife, Lori. Tom and Lori helped plant churches in Philadelphia and Nairobi, Kenya. They later moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, where Tom served for 12 years as the Administrator for all of the churches in Africa. Nick (18) and Trina (16) were both born in Africa. The Ziegler family moved to Herndon, VA in 2003, joining the NVCOC where they immediately began serving as the Children’s Ministry coordinators. Tom and Lori authored two very popular books aimed at helping families with ideas for family devotionals entitled, “As for Me and My House,” and “As for Me and My House 2.” Upon moving to Virginia in 2003, Tom once again started working as a Pharmacist. Tom and Lori now run their own Medicap Pharmacy in Ashburn, VA."
