Fireproofing the EAST

The East Region of the Johannesburg Church of Christ recently enjoyed an exciting marriage enrichment weekend, presented by Ivor and Anna- Marie Botha. 

The Friday evening started with members and friends and family watching the  movie Fireproof.  This was followed by a time of fellowship and sharing and it became clear that we all desired transformed marriages, judging by the time most people left. 

This was followed by a lively workshop structured around scenes from the movie – complete with a booklet to take home on the Saturday afternoon.   We stayed for hot chocolate as we shared our thoughts, laughed and enjoyed the company of new friends.  The Fireproof theme continued on Sunday with the morning service and many of our friends came to worship God with us.  We all left with a deep appreciation for our spouses and for the way God will continue to transform our marriages.
