Womens Day in the EAST

The East are Happy in their skin

The 23rd of May 2009 saw the East region of the Johannesburg Church of Christ celebrating their womanhood with their annual Woman’s day, which was held at the Le Chateau Guest House in Kempton Park with the theme:  ‘Happy in your own skin’.
50 women from the East Region had an attendance of 136 women.
The proceedings started off with the song, “Circle of friends”.
Following this, Lena Frezza (a single mom) and Nonqaba Sibeko (from the marrieds) shared how God has helped them through their different circumstances.  This was followed by a tea break. 

The next part of the programme focused on Depression and Jody de Reuck shared how you can still please God when living with depression.  You can overcome and conquer challenges with God on your side.
The women’s day was concluded with Anna-Marie Botha’s lesson which focussed on knowing and understanding that God always knows what is best for us and how we should never wish we were in someone else’s shoes, because maybe we would never be able to cope with that situation. God always knows what is best for us and knows what we can manage.  
Overall it was a wonderful day and many women have started studying the Bible.  We can’t wait to see the fruits that God will bring forth.
