Let our Light Shine in Zimbabwe

Let our Light Shine Zimbabwe:

(disciples collecting the food donated by the South African churches)

As we all know Zimbabwe’s economy has gone through a torrid time over the past few years. Inflation rose to thousands of a percent-something most of us find difficult to grasp.

Despite the circumstances of food shortages, insufficient medical aid, school and hospitals closing down, the cholera outburst to name but a few; the disciples in Bulawayo (67) and Harare (217) have been steadfast in their faith.
What a great opportunity to put the scriptures into practice! 1 Cor 12 says “The body is a unit, though It is made of many parts…if one part suffers, every part suffers.” About 80% of the disciples in Zimbabwe are in need of help to just put food on the table. We thus opened a bank account to collect funds for Zimbabwe.

A very big thank you to all the disciples that have contributed, those in RSA and those abroad –thank you!
The Following churches in South Africa have given their support: Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria and Polokwane. We were able to buy food parcels through Makro (a large wholesaler) in RSA that is located in Zimbabwe as well. Benevolent committee representatives could collect the parcels in Harare and Bulawayo to reduce transport costs. Both Zambia and Botswana Churches (neighbouring countries to Zimbabwe) have also been helping the Zimbabwean disciples through the struggle.
It truly is a blessing to be able to help.

Please keep praying for Zimbabwe!
