On Sunday 24 February 2008, Sammy Leeuw was appointed deacon for the Kids Kingdom of the East region of the Johannesburg Church of Christ.  He will be assisted by his wife, Katy.  Sammy and Katy, who have been married for 16 years, have two teenage sons and a teenage daughter.  Sammy has been a disciple for 14 years.
